Hottie of the Week: Alexis Denisof

Huh, I think I missed a week there. Oooops! But it's okay, I'm going to remedy that by, um, paying more attention in the future. heh

This week's hottie is best known as Wesley on Buffy and Angel. When he first appeared on Buffy, I admit that the character turned me off. He was funny, yes, but he also annoyed the hell out of me. He was supposed to.

Then Angel started and I fell madly in love with Glenn Quinn as Doyle. So when Alexis joined the cast after Doyle's death... I went from not liking Wesley to HATING him. Actively. Seriously. But what ended up being really impressive is that this guy right here is such a good actor (and seems like such a genuinely nice dude in real life) that I was won over. By the end of Angel's run, I was as much a fan of him as I'd been an enemy when he started out on cast.

So this is both a love letter and an apology. Alexis, thanks for all your hard work on Angel, Dollhouse, etc... and sorry about running that I Hate Wes group for awhile.

Um, my bad.

Leggings

This is just a random post to say that leggings rock. It's like having license to wear pajamas to work and being considered fashionable for it. You can wear skirts without worrying about sitting like a lady or flashing anyone. If you don't have leggings, get some. For real. They are WIN. Pure, cuddly, comfortable WIN.

If you ever want to be totally and completely depressed and disturbed, watch this movie. I won't say too much about it because I think it's important to see it unfold. It's available for instant view on Netflix. Scary stuff. Remind me not to watch depressing documentaries while working anymore. Being sniffly at work when it's self-inflicted is dumb.

Hottie of the Week: Jon Stewart

This one goes back to my smart hotties fetish. I love a man who can be smarter than me (I'm pretty dang smart, so that's no easy feat) but not be a douche about it.

Well Jon Stewart manages it. He also gets credit for manning one of the only shows that relates current events and doesn't make me want to get a bunker and hide in it until it's all over. The news depresses me. The Daily Show gives me hope that there are at least a couple people in the world who aren't morons.

Yeah, I went there with the old funky picture. Don't blame me, blame Google. Once I saw it, I couldn't resist. He should just feel blessed that a still from Half Baked didn't come up before this one.

Hottie of the Week: Colin Morgan

Once again I'm visiting the Merlin universe because, well, I like it. And there's some serious eye candy on that show. This time I'm giving props to Colin Morgan, who plays the title character.

What's not to like about who's geeky, pale, Irish and has guest starred on Doctor Who? Don't lie, you loved him more with every word I typed there. Or I did anyway. I don't care so much what you think ;)

And despite looking like a kid, he's actually only four years younger than me, so it isn't cradle robbing. Double woot! That's really all I have to say. Dorky boys with accents do it for me.

Hottie of the Week: Adam Lambert

Yes, add another name to the list of gay guys I'm sad I don't get to make out with. As you may have noticed on my blog, talent counts for a lot when I'm choosing my hotties. Adam's got that in abundance (how the HELL did he not win, America? I'm disappointed in you!). He also happens to be nice. Well, okay, he SEEMS nice. That's close enough, right?

He seems like someone I'd have a hell of a lot of fun hanging out with, and he owns it on stage. Okay, he SEEMS to own it. I've only seen videos because, um, expensive, y'all! But the love's still there. Anyone who wears that much glitter is fine in my book.

I want me some Glambert, but I'll just have to console myself with the fact that he's awesome enough to regularly make out with other hot guys for the enjoyment of us, his audience. Yay! Keep up the good work, babe!
