I have amazing friends - and amazingly TALENTED friends, even better. Today I modeled in a photo shoot for my friend Star aka Raechel aka Jezzele de Fatale. Not only did she take gorgeous pictures, she also did my super pretty hair AND made the pretty flowered clip I'm wearing in some shots.
If you think that the shots she took are as beautiful as I think they are (what? I'm not usually vain, but I look hot in these!), please head to her Facebook page and fan her!

Amber Does Dallas
So we finally got out and did something! Wes and I spent Friday evening seeing Amber Does Dallas, DFW's rockin' cool Repo! the Genetic Opera shadow cast.
Given that we met at Rocky, doing midnight movies is a pretty big thing for us. It's fun, it's weird, and it's the bestest of the best places to meet strange and interesting new people (plus see friends we don't get to see that often).
And as you can see? There's more than just a tiny bit of awesome going on. Can't wait to do it again! We're hoping to hit up their Pop Icons show in March too if all goes well. The cast performs bi-weekly at the AMAZINGLY beautiful Lakewood Theater in Dallas.

The Genetic Opera
I went to see Amber Does Dallas, the local Repo! shadowcast last night. It was really great even though we only stayed for half the show. I got to see Halo and Matt and Star and Gillian (which in and of itself is pretty much worth the drive - love you guys!). Hopefully we'll get to go back again when they perform in December and stay the full way. Maybe practice some screamer lines so we're prepared. That's how we roll.
So now I'm buzzed and completely tired all at the same time, but at least the day's almost over so soon my brain can shut down for the night. Thank god! Getting home after midnight =/= a day full of energy.

I'm Social?
Then this weekend, I went down to my mom's and we went to see The Gossip in Austin. It was AWESOME. First off all? Great music. Of course. Secondly? The drive went smoothly, we got great parking... win. Then Toni showed up, so I got to hang out with my mom, my bud I hardly ever get to see, and even met some new Rocky-related friends. It was awesome start to finish.
I then headed home, and Saturday we went to our friend Katie's Halloween party, which was also super fun. She had her house decorated beautifully (seriously, put us to shame!), and we watched Rifftrax of Night of the Living Dead and Twilight. Sadly we didn't see the end of the Twilight one because we headed out, but I had my first Jello-o shots. Don't worry, I didn't overdo it. Drank plenty of water when I got home, got a good night's sleep, and was fine on Sunday :)
So basically I have been totally and utterly social for a couple of weeks... weird!

Dinner & the Breakfast Club
Last night was pretty awesome. First? Dinner with the ladies. I love girls' nights! We hit Fireside Pies in Grapevine - the crust is absolutely amazing. Yuuuuummy! And it was just good seeing everybody and chatting and relaxing.
After I got home, Wes and I headed out to the Denton Movie Tavern to see their midnight movie of the week - The Breakfast Club. That is without question the best 80s movie ever (followed by My Best Friend is a Vampire - yes, I know you haven't seen that one... no one has, it seems). It was just plain fun getting to see it in the theater. <3
