Christmas Cards

Okay, I'm finally going to get Christmas cards ready. So even if you think I *have* the right address for you, do me a favor and send it to me. Email and phone number are good to have too since I'll put it all in our Rolodex. And full name if you don't think I have that! lol You can reply here or just email me at star_momma@yahoo.com and I'll get you a purdy card :)

Thanksgiving

Wes is sick, so it looks like our Thanksgiving will be lots of being at home and me taking care of him. heh It's nto funny, but it is. Someone from our family gets sick every single year around the holidays. It just happened to be Wes this year, poor guy! But we'll take what we have and enjoy the low key-ness of things instead of sweating it. Maybe he'll be better in time to enjoy Thanksgiving with his family this weekend when they come over. :: fingers crossed ::

Back on the Warcrack

In case anyone didn't notice, I'm back to playing WoW (Alliance on Drak'Tharon, mostly, if anyone cares to join me that hasn't). I knew I'd never kick the habit permanently, and as it turned out? Someone hacking into my account and paying for a month for me was a perfect way to get back in. My gear and such has now been fully restored, and I'm much less pissed. Yay! So I'm wallowing in the full extent of my geekiness. I am loser, hear me roar!

And the day ends in fail

Yesterday was good once I got home from getting assigned jury duty and my headache wore off (tomorrow I do the ACTUAL jury duty, apparently). But sadly the day ended with fail. My friend Shawn (thank god he was paying attention!) emailed me to say one of my WoW chars was logged in and not replying. Now as most of you remember, my account lapsed as of September 19, so this was definitely news to me. First I called Wes to see if he was being awesome and renewing my account for me. No such luck. So I logged in to Blizzard's site and changed my password.

Then I logged into the server. On my main server, Drak'Tharon, almost all my chars were stripped (or close to it), any non-soulbound bags were gone, any items that were sellable were gone... it was utter fail. And they'd kindly left one of my characters logged out in mid-jump so I logged in to die. Really thoughtful. I have a ticket in with Blizzard, so hopefully they'll restore my account to what it was BEFORE someone PAID to hack my account. Srsly. Who the hell would PAY just to hack someone's account?!

And it really ticks me off since I was just thinking about going back to WoW... and now I have nothing to go bloody back TO.

The Genetic Opera

I went to see Amber Does Dallas, the local Repo! shadowcast last night. It was really great even though we only stayed for half the show. I got to see Halo and Matt and Star and Gillian (which in and of itself is pretty much worth the drive - love you guys!). Hopefully we'll get to go back again when they perform in December and stay the full way. Maybe practice some screamer lines so we're prepared. That's how we roll.

So now I'm buzzed and completely tired all at the same time, but at least the day's almost over so soon my brain can shut down for the night. Thank god! Getting home after midnight =/= a day full of energy.

Jonesing

No, that's not my char, though it looks like one of mine. See, the thing is... I'm jonesing. Bad. I've been enjoying the extra free time afforded me to spend on other things while I've been away from WoW. I really have.

...but... well... I watched the  Cataclysm trailer, and now I want it. I want to grind. I want to Achieve. I want to pvp. Might be time to plunge back in soon.

I'm Social?

Apparently I am. At least the last couple of weeks I have been. First I spent the weekend before last with my very best friend. She was home on leave, and we got to hang out, and, well, it made my day. My week. Possibly my year. lol Friday night she came up and we did dinner (Sweet Basil in Denton - yum!) and coffee and chatted. Saturday, I went up to her parents' and her dad made bbq. Double yum! Plus it was as good seeing them as it was seeing her. <3 her parents.

Then this weekend, I went down to my mom's and we went to see The Gossip in Austin. It was AWESOME. First off all? Great music. Of course. Secondly? The drive went smoothly, we got great parking... win. Then Toni showed up, so I got to hang out with my mom, my bud I hardly ever get to see, and even met some new Rocky-related friends. It was awesome start to finish.

I then headed home, and Saturday we went to our friend Katie's Halloween party, which was also super fun. She had her house decorated beautifully (seriously, put us to shame!), and we watched Rifftrax of Night of the Living Dead and Twilight. Sadly we didn't see the end of the Twilight one because we headed out, but I had my first Jello-o shots. Don't worry, I didn't overdo it. Drank plenty of water when I got home, got a good night's sleep, and was fine on Sunday :)

So basically I have been totally and utterly social for a couple of weeks... weird!
