Hottie of the Week: Chris Colfer

'm a Gleek, I will never stop being ridiculously proud to see such a sweet, sarcastic geek boy do so well in life, and our baby boy decided to strip shirtless in this week's episode. All of this means he's earned the title for the week. Good for you, sweetie!

Hottie of the Week: Lea Michele

I won't watch the Glee ep "The Quarterback" until tonight. But right now I can't help feeling that Lea Michele is in need of all the good vibes she can get. So today? She's my hottie of the week. And good LORD is she a hottie. Seriously, can you see this?

Hottie of the Week: Darren Criss

Sick baby at home today, so I'm going to go with the fastest thing for me: pictures of Darren Criss. You do NOT want to know how many pictures of him are on my computer. The FBI probably has a file on this somewhere. It's totally worth it. If I've shared these before? Um, too bad. Most of you probably won't mind.

Hottie of the Week: Cory Monteith

Now wouldn't be the time to tell me you think this is disrespectful or to give me your opinion on Cory's death. A person's life is more than how they died and more than any stupid mistakes they made while alive. For me, the fact is that Cory's voice and his work are part of literally almost every day of my life. That's pretty huge, it's pretty important, and it's worth remembering and honoring. Plus I like tall dudes. So let's take a long, shallow moment to just stare.

RIP Cory Monteith

I have nothing clever to say. Just going to share some of my favorite pictures. So very, very sad to lose someone so talented with so many people who love him so much.

Movie Review: Struck by Lightning

The greatest compliment I can give Struck by Lightning is that I wasn't thinking about Glee at all as I watched it. Obviously like most people, I fell in love with Chris as Kurt on Glee (he was my favorite character by about 10 minutes into the pilot). While I always want to see actors I love succeed in their endeavors, I'm sure I'm not alone in having butterflies in my stomach when they move away from what I fell in love with them in. It can be scary because you know that you're sitting down to watch the moment when you might fall out of love with the actor to a degree and realize you're just in love with a character.

Thankfully, that is not the case here. Chris is a fluid, adept actor. Apart from one brief "Kurt" look in a daydream sequence, you won't be thinking about sequins and show tunes. At all. I'll take a moment here to confess that as a former struggling small town school newspaper editor and writing fanatic myself, I saw a lot of me in Carson. A lot, right down to the absentee dad (who thank god never put me in the position Carson's dad put him in - I lack the grace to have handled it so well). Thankfully I had a mom who always read my work, supported me, and smoothed over a lot of those rough times.

This movie is a downer in a lot of ways. You start the film off knowing you're about to spend an hour and a half falling for a character who is already dead. This isn't a spoiler: the movie opens with him dying. But that doesn't matter, really, because the point is the experience. The point is seeing how easy it is to give up on your dreams and how hard and painful it can be to fight for them - and how much it's worth it. Every single performance is honestly wonderful. Chris Colfer is brilliant (again, I was relieved and pleased and giddy about that), Allison Janney is heartbreaking and messed up and amazing as Carson's mother, Polly Bergen will make you want to call and spend time with grandparents you don't even have, and Rebel Wilson is a total scene stealer (despite not having an American accent totally under her control just yet).

Basically, if you don't mind some sniffles and tears along with your revelations and moments of zen and humor, this movie is entirely worth your time. Hell, to support Chris and company, I vote that you click the link at the top of this puppy and rent it whether that's your cup of tea or not. I walked away from SBL inspired, shaken, and incredibly excited to see what Chris has in store next.

Hottie of the Week: Dianna Agron

Dianna Agron
Twitter | Tumblr | IMDB

As Chris Colfer has said, it's almost obnoxious how pretty she is. Girl's just plain ol' gorgeous. I'd be jealous, but I'm kind of too busy being mesmerized. Plus it doesn't hurt that she seems genuinely nice. Also, slightly different post layout this week - what do you think?

The Klaine "Box Scene"

Don't even try to pretend you don't think it's adorable. It's adorable. Merry Christmas in July!

Hottie of the Week: Harry Shum Jr.

Do I even have to explain this? You can see him, right? Yeah. Enjoy. And, yes, they're all shirtless pictures. I'm happily shallow like that.

Glee: On My Way

This is going to be a wall of spoilers, so if you haven't seen the "winter finale" (fuck you, Fox) of Glee and don't want it spoiled, now is an AWESOME time to stop reading. Also? This will likely be scattered and messy. I'm throwin' it all in here and seeing what sticks.

  •  Quinn is fine. People, Dianna's not leaving the show; ergo, Quinn will be okay. Possibly mangled or something, but we all know she'll be fine. RELAX.
  • No one's talking about the baby daddy drama. Seriously, whose spawn is Sue having? I'm going with Puck because I can.
  • Hey, Joe Hart, I see you in the background bein' all hot. You go right ahead with that.
  • Blaine has something going on lately. The outburst of anger in the choir room, telling Kurt it wasn't the stuff with Sebastian but then not telling Kurt what it is... it's odd. It's not like him. Something's up. Given that his big brother's showing up in the next new ep we get, maybe something with his parents?
  • Speaking of Kurt and Blaine, when the hell are they gonna talk about what happens when graduation comes around? And Mike and Tina? They're power couples too, damn it all, and I want to know!
  • I'm not 100% convinced that Sebastian really has a soul, but it is possible. Still waiting for time to tell on that one, but Grant Gust did a great job. Whether it was bullshit or not, he genuinely seemed to feel bad.
  • Finn & Rachel getting married: I actually do like them together, but it's a terrible idea. AWFUL. At least at this point in their lives. So I'm genuinely hoping that it won't happen.
  • Faberry is cannon. There's a missing scene with Rachel and Quinn at the bridal shop (it was in the previews), but... I honestly think it's cannon, at least in a one-sided sense. I think Quinn has a thing for Rachel. Just sayin'. I think Rachel might even have a thing for Quinn, actually, but... I'm not even a femmeslash kinda girl, and I see it.
  • I recognized, like, one song in this episode. Am I out of touch, or were more of these just really obscure? I really liked "Cough Syrup," though.
  • And, okay, the hard part of the ep: Dave. It was beautifully done. I had inklings after last week's ep and him more or less getting outed with that guy at his school, and my suspicions were confirmed... though thankfully not in the final sense that I'd been afraid of. Because y'know what? I've gotten attached to Dave. I have. He's interesting. Seeing what he's going through is interesting. Seeing him and Kurt figuring out how to be friends is interesting. I want to continue with it. Plus Max Adler seems like a nice dude, and I'd hate for him to be out of the job.
  • My husband thinks Dave's parents will send him off to de-gaying-camp, but I think his dad's gonna be on his side. I hope. And so I'm thinking maybe his parents will just end up splitting up. So the big question: will Dave transfer back to McKinley, or will he transfer to Dalton?
  • I love Rachel's dads SO MUCH. Jeff Goldblum's always been a favorite, and he's just absolutely perfect. So great! Enough to overshadow Burt somewhat, and we all know he's my fake dad. Someday Burt Hummel's going to adopt me. I'm just sayin'.
  • Another under-the-radar heart tugger: Santana's hope for the future. That killed me.

Hottie of the Week: Matt Bomer

Also known as "that hot dude from White Collar." He'll also be playing Blaine Anderson's older brother Cooper on Glee once Fox stops torturing us with this IDIOTIC 8 week hiatus that starts after Tuesday. Ahem. But I digress - he's yummy. Enjoy the pictures. Just keep in mind that he's in a happily committed relationship with three kids and doesn't like girl parts, more's the pity!
