Hottie of the Week: Carey Elwes

Carey Elwes

I don't think a lot of explanation is needed here. How could the Dread Pirate Roberts be anything but perfection? Not to mention my long-standing obsession with the fate of Dr. Gordon from Saw (thankfully the last installment filled us in and kept me from going postal).

Hottie of the Week: Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson

You guys can give me all the crap you want to. The fact is that he's pretty and wonderfully aware of how silly the heartthrob gig is. I dare you to sit through a few minutes of him making fun of himself in Twilight and not fall a liiiiitttle bit in love.

Geek Problems: Crushes

Tyrion Lannister, originally uploaded by Spot Séries.
I was told over and over going into reading Game of Thrones that all women will fall in love with Jon Snow. I'll grant he's awfully pretty on the show, but I will say here and now that I'm in love with Tyrion Lannister instead. Smart and interesting wins over pretty every time.

Hottie of the Week: Dianna Agron

Dianna Agron
Twitter | Tumblr | IMDB

As Chris Colfer has said, it's almost obnoxious how pretty she is. Girl's just plain ol' gorgeous. I'd be jealous, but I'm kind of too busy being mesmerized. Plus it doesn't hurt that she seems genuinely nice. Also, slightly different post layout this week - what do you think?

Wilde Eats It: S'mores Pie

First, let me apologize for how long it's taken to get this post up. I made the pie for my sister's birthday earlier this month, and with planning my son's first birthday party, I got a little off schedule. Ooooops! Credit where it's due, I got this receipt from Pinterest, and the original source is the Cookies and Cups blog.

I'm pleased to say that this was a super easy to follow recipe, and it was AMAZING. We got a little over-eager and ate it right away, but if you let it sit for awhile, the slices will be more attractive and uniform. The taste, however, is out of this world either way. Check the original post at Cookies and Cups to see pictures of each step in the recipe.

  • 6 Regular sized Hershey Bars, broken into pieces
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 7oz container of Marshmallow Creme
  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Spray a 9" pie pan with baking spray.
  3. Beat butter and sugar together until combined.
  4. Add egg and vanilla.
  5. On low add flour, graham cracker crumbs and baking powder.
  6. Divide the dough in half.
  7. Press half the dough in the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pie pan.
  8. Evenly spread the Marshmallow Creme over the bottom crust
  9. Now spread the broken chocolate pieces on top of the Marshmallow Creme.
  10. Now, form the remaining dough into a ball and place on a piece of wax paper. Top with another piece of wax paper and flatten into a 9" circle.
  11. Carefully peel the top piece of wax paper off.
  12. Flip the crust onto the top of the pie and peel the other piece of wax paper off.
  13. Pinch the dough together to form the crust.
  14. Bake 20 minutes until lightly browned.
  15. Cool completely on wire rack and slice when ready to serve.
We're already talking about using the dough part of the recipe plus broken up Hersey pieces to make cookies, possibly with marshmallows thrown in, possibly with marshmallows browned on top after making them. Either way, I have a feeling we'll enjoy the hell out of it.

Hottie of the Week: Ian Somerhalder

My friend Chad got me hooked on Vampire Diaries. Naturally (at least to those of you who know my long-standing love for Spike), Damon is my favorite character. Yep, that's the whole explanation. This isn't rocket science, folks.

Firefly Funeral Out-take

It counts for hottie of the week because Nathan Fillion is beautiful. Enjoy! And, yes, this is lazy of me. But I bet most of you don't mind anyway.

The Klaine "Box Scene"

Don't even try to pretend you don't think it's adorable. It's adorable. Merry Christmas in July!
