Crowd-Pleasing Monkey Bread

This went over so well at Christmas breakfast that I figured I'd share the recipe, which is just a very very very slightly altered version from one on Pillsbury.com:

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cans Flaky Layers Biscuits
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted

Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 12-cup bundt cake pan with shortening or cooking spray. In large -storage plastic food bag, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.

Separate dough into biscuits; cut each into quarters. Shake in bag to coat. Arrange in pan.

In small bowl, mix brown sugar and butter; pour over biscuit pieces.

Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in center. Cool in pan 5 minutes. Turn upside down onto serving plate; pull apart to serve. Serve warm.

Ray Davies - In A Moment

Remember that even when you can't see the forest for the trees anymore, hold onto the people who are with you. They're what you won't want to lose when the bad times get better.

And, yes, I know that's sappier than usual for me. Feel free to just enjoy the beautiful acoustic version of "In a Moment" and ignore this ;)

Hottie of the Week: Gary Sandy

I'm in a WKRP in Cincinnati mood, so we're kicking it old school. Just shut up and enjoy. You know you don't care what words I'm typing here. You KNOW you don't. But if you are reading, is it just me or... shades of Nathan Fillion?

Hottie of the Week: Blair Redford

I know nothing about him except that he was on the new 90210 and he's hot. Do you really need more than that? I think not!

The Good News...

xposted at Wilde Designs

Wilde Designs is now officially open for business once again! Vintage, geeky goods and creative stuff like art and jewelry are now all housed in one convenient location.

There's still a few descriptions and meta data that may be lacking, but everything's up for sale and you can always let us (my hubby and I) know if you have any questions at all. We are so excited to be back in business, and I can't wait to hear what everyone thinks of the new site. Please share the link around and don't be shy about letting us know if you find any issues or really love anything in particular!
